Our Parish

Downside Abbey’s local parish is based at St Benedict’s church, Stratton on the Fosse. The church was built to the designs of Charles Hansom and completed in 1857. The parish is served by monks from the monastic community of St Gregory’s, who say Mass and hear confessions as well as conducting parish pastoral work.


Saturdays:  5 p.m

Sundays:      11 a.m

Confessions are heard from 4.30 to 5.00 p.m. on Saturdays and from 10.30 to 11.00 a.m. on Sundays.
