Wanted: Volunteers for the Downside Abbey Visitor Centre
11 Jul 2017
The Downside Visitor Centre is a unique location that works on behalf of the Monastic Community, to offer everyone who visits a warm and welcoming place to experience Downside’s ‘Benedictine Hospitality’.
We sell a wide range of books and gift items as well as offering tea, coffee and homemade cakes to all our visitors. There is also an excellent conference room which hosts groups from different faith and business backgrounds for talks, retreats, academic conferences, school retreats and meetings.
New volunteers are wanted for various times throughout the week, including weekday afternoons between 2pm – 4pm and during the morning at weekends. You would be joining a friendly and committed team of local volunteers, some of whom work here regularly and others who offer support as and when it’s needed.
To become a volunteer or if you would like more information please contact Tamsyn Richardson-Aitken on 01761 235174 or email traitken@downside.co.uk
