Happy Easter

Abbot Nicholas and the Community of St Gregory the Great would like to wish you, your families, and your loved ones, a very happy and holy Easter.

The Abbot presided over the Easter Vigil and the Basilica of St Gregory the Great welcomed the faithful to witness the Sacred Triduum during Holy Week. Fr Michael Patey and Dom Martin Gowman presided at Mass in the Basilica and St Benedict’s today, completing our observance of the Triduum, and welcoming in the Risen Christ.

We would like to thank all those from the parish of St Benedict’s who worked so hard in providing the readers, servers, organist and choir, as well as the wonderful flowers, taken from the Abbey Gardens, so skilfully arranged by the parishioners.

Since you have been brought back to true life with Christ, you must look for the things that are in heaven, where Christ is, sitting at God’s right hand. Let your thoughts be on heavenly things, not on the things that are on the earth, because you have died, and now the life you have is hidden with Christ in God. But when Christ is revealed – and he is your life – you too will be revealed in all your glory with him. [Colossians 3:1-4]
