DOM OLIVER RETIRES AS COUNCILLOR

After three years working at Downside as a Trustee and member of the Prior’s Council, Dom Oliver, a monk of Douai Abbey, has now retired from this role and has resumed his position as Bursar at Douai.

We have been grateful for fresh vision and his insights into the way some things can be done, such as reducing the size of the monastic refectory. And all with a great sense of humour! We shall miss him, but hope that he will return on many an occasion.
