Living a Liturgical Life: A Monastic Retreat

16th – 18th November 2018

The retreat is aimed at Catholic men, aged 18 – 35, who are considering the possibility of a vocation to priesthood or religious life.

This retreat will be structured around the monastic day, which is centred on the praise of God in the Divine Office and Mass. Retreatants will have the opportunity to pray the Office and Mass with the monastic community, and will take meals in the monks’ refectory (these are in silence with reading).

There will be a few talks and the opportunity to speak individually with Dom Anselm (Vocations’ Director, who will lead the retreat) and other members of the monastic community. The talks will consider such topics as:

• Praying the Mass
• Praying the Psalms
• Praying the Divine Office as the Church
