WEBBS OF ODSTOCK BOOK LAUNCH

We are pleased to announce that the latest Downside Abbey press publication, The Webbs of Odstock is now available for purchase. 

Telling the story of the Webb family of Odstock, which is near Salisbury and of Canford in Dorset, the book provides an unusually detailed insight into what was the effect of their Catholic faith on their colourful and devoted family from the split of Henry VIII from Rome until the comparative calm of the Victorian era.

The formal launch of the book took place on Saturday and the book is now on general sale. Many people attended the launch here at Downside and went away with copies signed by the author Hugh Wright.
