Are you aged 18-30 and keen to learn about the Bible?

Dom Anselm Brumwell’s Bible Study Group has restarted after the summer break, and was pleased to welcome three new members. After a “gallop” through the evolution of the Biblical texts, and the background to the compilation of the Bible itself, the group resumed their study of John’s Gospel. It did not take long, however, for the passage to inspire conversation, lively debate, and questioning, on matters of interest to members of the group.
The group meets every Saturday in St. Benedict’s Church Parish Centre in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, between 3pm and 4.30 pm. The sessions are a wonderful opportunity to explore faith issues in a relaxed, and joyful, atmosphere, with one of the Downside Monks, who is also a teacher of Theology in Downside School. There is no commitment to attend each week and members attend when they can. Although most members have a Catholic background, all faiths, or none, are welcome.
Some members of the group hope to accompany Dom Anselm on his pilgrimage to the Holy Land next year. For details of this pilgrimage, please click here.
