We have been delighted to be able to welcome so many visitors to the Holy Door during the first few months of 2016. 

Downside Abbey has been designated as a pilgrimage site within the Diocese of Clifton, as part of the Jubilee Year of Mercy. Our visitors have ranged in age from Primary Schools within the diocese to groups of adults from far and wide; pilgrims have been able to learn more about the Abbey Church, walk through the Holy Door and visit the Shrine of St Oliver Plunkett.
