Painting Donation

The Monastery Archives and Library have recently been the recipient of a wonderful painting.

Louis Jebb is the nephew of the late Downside monk, Dom Philip Jebb, and has donated the painting in memory of his uncle. Dom Philip was Head Master of the school and also archivist of the monastery collections, and so the painting will now hang in the Monastery Library. Fr Leo and Fr Boniface accepted the gift on behalf of the community and were much taken with the quality of the painting. 

The group are pictured with the painting and also one of Fr Philip which is currently on display in the monastery archives.
