Organists Visit Downside

On Monday 25th July Downside was visited by the Incorporated Association of Organists as part of their Music Festival. 

Almost 150 people from across the country were in the local area for a series of events across the week, including the organ recital here at Downside. 

Jonathan Vaughan, organist at Wells Cathedral gave a recital playing the Compton Organ in the Abbey Church. The audience were entertained by the music before having a lunch in the Weld. 

The music played by Jonathan Vaughan included works by J S Bach and Percy Whitlock.
