KLOSTERZEIT PART 1 ENDS

We have now said goodbye to Paul, who spent three months at Downside Abbey as a part of the Klosterzeit project, organised by Einsiedeln Abbey in Switzerland.

The project enables young men to spend time in Benedictine monasteries in different parts of the world to find out more about monastic life and to help them to develop their own faith. Paul has spent his time helping in the Abbey Guest Wing, the Monastery gardens, the Monastery Library, walking the Prior’s dog, as well as eating and praying with the monks. We wish him well as he now goes to Tabgha Priory in Israel, and we look forward to welcoming his successor in a few weeks.
