Holy Land Pilgrimage 2017

The early hours of Sunday morning saw the conclusion to the successful pilgrimage to the Holy Land by 48 young Catholics, including our own Br John. The Pilgrimage was organised by Rina Bird, with Fr Matt Anscombe (Diocesan Vocations Director) and Fr Thaddäus Schreiber acting as Spiritual Directors.

The group included pilgrims from the Clifton Diocese and from across the UK and Ireland. There was busy itinerary each day with highlights including visits to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Western Wall, Yad Vashem, the river Jordan, Qumran, the Dead Sea, the Masada Fortress, the Sea of Galilee, and much more. Mass was celebrated every day and there was the opportunity to pray Lauds & Vespers, as well as the rosary in the evening.

The next pilgrimage for young Catholics will take place in July/August 2019. There is also a Pilgrimage for all ages in 2018 which takes place from the 26th July to 4th August. Please email Rina Bird for more information.
