Downside was pleased to host a two day coloquium recently on the life of Fr Sebastian Moore.

The event examined various aspects of the extraordinary works and life of Fr Sebastian. Papers included his link with Siegfried Sassoon, his works on poetry, theology and spirituality and many memories of the man were shared. 

A conference dinner was the highlight of the Friday and a tour of Sebastian’s Downside by Fr Dominic Mansi rounded off the weekend. All attendees thoroughly enjoyed themselves and much was learned about the works and life of a unique individual.
