BENEDICTINES IN SUFFOLK TALK
25 Aug 2021
We were extremely privileged today to have Dr Francis Young give a talk as part of our online ‘St Gregory’s Lecture Series’ on the Benedictine presence in Suffolk from the 5th century to modern times.
Exploring the long history of the Benedictines in the county, Dr Young showcased the places and people who had ensured the legacy of monasticism in Suffolk. Downside’s work in the area has been ongoing since St Gregory’s was at Douai, and is still evident in the Benedictine work done today.
You can listen to the talk on our Youtube channel. We hope you enjoy it!
Keep up to date with the latest events taking place either at Downside or online here.
