Visiting Us
Coming from the A367 you will see signs to Downside Abbey, adjacent to our parish church of St Benedict’s, (roughly half way through the village).
The entrance to the Abbey Church is at the end of the road (follow the red line on the map). There is designated parking for visitors in the green area; if this is full then please respectfully park adjacent to the abbey church, on the road. Keep walking towards the metal gates and the entrance will be to your left.
If you have any questions, please email us by clicking here.
If you are unable to make a physical trip to see Downside, why not make a virtual visit by clicking here.
Enjoy your visit!
n.b. please note that dogs are not allowed in the abbey church (except guide dogs). We ask you to kindly respect the dignity of this house of prayer which is a consecrated minor basilica and where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved. Mass is said on a Sunday at 10 am. All welcome.
