Downside Heritage volunteers have been researching the birthplaces of Downside’s community.

Over the years, monks have come from all over the globe, including Egypt, Australia, Mexico and India. Our volunteers have been pinning maps showing us where the monks were born which shows for the first time how global the Downside community is.
