Abbot President Awards Prize at Downside

Abbot President, Dom Richard Yeo, visited Downside to award the English Benedictine Congregation Essay Prize 2016.

Pupils from Downside, Worth, Ampleforth and St Benedict’s Ealing take part in the competition each year, with Junior and Senior prizes awarded. The group enjoyed an evening meal together on Tuesday evening ahead of the Prizegiving Ceremony on the Wednesday morning. A tour of Downside’s Monastery Library was given to the pupils by Dom Leo after prizes were announced.
